Crucified Barbara (Sweden)

Line Up:

Mia Coldheart - vocals, guitar
Nicki Wicked - drums
Ida Evileye - bass

Klara Force - guitar

1995 - Ida Evileye and Klara Force meet in school and start to play together.
1998 - Crucified Barbara is formed, the band gets it's name after a crucified blow up doll at the Roskilde Festival, drummer Nicki Wicked is hand picked on the street after the band members have been checkin her out, walking around with drum sticks and looking cool. The sound is dirty and heavy, simple punk rock with tons of agressive attitude and the band plays club gigs in Stockholm and around Sweden. The band is a 4-piece consisting of Klara, Nicki, Ida and Joey (ex vocalist)

2001 - Mia Coldheart joins as lead guitar player. In September 2001 the band play on the rock club Siren, located on a boat in the south of Stockholm. Mattias Ekstig from Warner/chappell is there to DJ since his friend owns the club. He sees potential in CB and contacts them after the show, and some months later they start to work together to find a record deal. During the time they record 3 demos, one of them with Conny Bloom (Electric Boys, Hanoi Rocks) as a producer which was a good start for the band.

2001-2003 - The band plays tons of shows in Stockholm were they're situated but also on clubs and wierd festivals all around Sweden. Some record labels are interested but not totally convinced.

2003 - September, CB get some hints that they might get a record deal with GMR music group and begin the hard work to finish the material for the debut album. In october some conflicts and re arrangements in the band leaves the band without a lead singer. The band starts to look for a new singer with the fact that they've probably lost their record deal due to this, in mind. After a month Mia Coldheart gives the microphone a try and it works out fine. The record label has no intentions to change their mind and everybody think it's a good sollution and the work continues.

2004 - In January CB signs with GMR music Group and enters the studio in February. The recording is taking place in PAMA studios/ Blakk Records in Kristianopel in Sweden. Producer and engineer is Mankan Sedenberg. The recordings are finished, mixed and mastered in the beginning of the summer. In December single Losing the Game + video is released and played on national TV and radio stations in Sweden

2005 - January 19th the album is released in Sweden. Crucified Barbara start the year as support act for Pain on the Swedish tour. In May the band tour France with American Dog from Ohio. This year is dedicated to promoting the album by playing live, Sweden Rock Festival, Download Festival in the UK, even more gigs in France, Belgium, Scandinavia, and tons of club and festival gigs in Sweden are spreading the name and reputation of CB as a heavy and respected live act. In May the single Rock'n'Roll Bachelor is released.

2006 – The band tours in Europe, Russia, Australia, supports In Flames and Sepultura, and later on Motörhead on a month UK tour, and plays a lots of big festivals all over Europe.

2007 – After some months recovering from all the touring, the band has now started to work on the 2nd release hopefully released in fall 2008.

2008 – Crucified Barbara is recording their 2nd album in may, to be released in the early fall. The album is recorded by Jocke Skog (Clawfinger) and produced by CB and Mats Levén.
